'''Capron''' is a village in [[Boone County, Illinois|Boone County]], [[Illinois]], [[United States]]. It is part of the [[Rockford, Illinois]] [[Rockford metropolitan area|Metropolitan Statistical Area]]. The population was 2000 at the 2020 census, up from 1,376 at the 2010 census.

==History==

The racial makeup of the village was 59.93% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]], 1.15% [[African American (U.S. Census)|African American]], 0.79% [[Native American (U.S. Census)|Native American]], 0.22% [[Asian (U.S. Census)|Asian]], 0.00% [[Pacific Islander (U.S. Census)|Pacific Islander]], 22.37% from [[Race (United States Census)|other races]], and 15.56% from two or more races.
