The [[population density]] was {{convert|2350.0|PD/sqmi|PD/km2|1}}. There were 271 housing units at an average density of {{convert|1042.3|/sqmi|/km2|1}}. The racial makeup of the town was 98.2% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]], 0.3% [[African American (U.S. Census)|African American]], 0.2% [[Native American (U.S. Census)|Native American]], and 1.3% from two or more races.

There were 249 households, of which 31.3% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 50.2% were [[Marriage|married couples]] living together, 8.8% had a female householder with no husband present, 5.6% had a male householder with no wife present, and 35.3% were non-families. 32.9% of all households were made up of individuals, and 19.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.45 and the average family size was 3.04.

There were 233 households, out of which 34.8% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 59.7% were [[Marriage|married couples]] living together, 6.0% had a female householder with no husband present, and 31.3% were non-families. 28.3% of all households were made up of individuals, and 18.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.50 and the average family size was 3.10.

In the town, the population was spread out, with 27.8% under the age of 18, 5.8% from 18 to 24, 29.0% from 25 to 44, 19.2% from 45 to 64, and 18.0% who were 65 years of age or older.
