==Geography==
Cambridge is located in central Jefferson County. It is {{convert|8|mi|0}} southeast of [[downtown Louisville]]. Cambridge is bordered to the north by [[Lincolnshire, Kentucky|Lincolnshire]] and [[St. Regis Park, Kentucky|St. Regis Park]], to the south by [[Houston Acres, Kentucky|Houston Acres]], to the west by [[Louisville, Kentucky|Louisville]], and to the southwest and east by consolidated Louisville/Jefferson County. [[Kentucky Route 155]] (Taylorsville Road) forms the southern border of the community, leading southeast {{convert|4|mi|0}} to [[Jeffersontown, Kentucky|Jeffersontown]].

The average household size was 2.13 and the average family size was 2.86.

In the city, the population was spread out, with 20.8% under the age of 18, 4.2% from 18 to 24, 30.2% from 25 to 44, 21.4% from 45 to 64, and 23.4% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 40 years. For every 100 females, there were 81.1 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 83.1 males.

The median income for a household in the city was $35,000, and the median income for a family was $49,375. Males had a median income of $39,375 versus $35,625 for females.
