According to the [[United States Census Bureau]], Camargo has a total area of {{convert|2.21|sqmi|km2}}, of which {{convert|0.03|sqmi|2}}, or 1.17%, are water.<ref name="CenPopGazetteer2022"/> The city is bordered to the south by Bowles Branch, and Greenbrier Creek flows through the northern part of the city. Both streams are tributaries of Slate Creek, a north-flowing tributary of the [[Licking River (Kentucky)|Licking River]], which joins the [[Ohio River]] at [[Covington, Kentucky|Covington]].

The population density was {{convert|436.6|PD/sqmi|PD/km2|sp=us|adj=off}}. There were 383 [[house|housing]] units at an average density of {{convert|181.2|/sqmi|/km2|sp=us|adj=off}}. The racial makeup of the city was 98.70% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]], 0.11% [[Asian (U.S. Census)|Asian]], and 1.19% from two or more races. [[Hispanic (U.S. Census)|Hispanic]] or [[Latino (U.S. Census)|Latino]] of any race were 0.54% of the population.
