The median age was 35 years. For every 100 females, there were 121.7 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 123.5 males. The median income for a household in the CDP was $99,750, and the median income for a family was $142,165. Males had a median income of $98,702 versus $68,801 for females. The "[[buzzard]]s" for which the town was named were most likely [[turkey vulture]]s or [[osprey]]s. Buzzards Bay was settled by Europeans in 1621.
