'''Buckeye Lake''' is a [[village (United States)#Ohio|village]] in [[Fairfield County, Ohio|Fairfield]] and [[Licking County, Ohio|Licking]] counties in the [[U.S. state]] of [[Ohio]]. The population was 2,520 at the [[2020 United States Census|2020 census]].  It is named for [[Buckeye Lake (Ohio)|Buckeye Lake]], a large lake along which the village is built.

==History==
On August 27, 2013, Buckeye Lake withdrew from [[Union Township, Licking County, Ohio|Union Township]] in Licking County via a [[paper township]] named Buckeye Lake Township. The [[population density]] was {{convert|1373.0|PD/sqmi|PD/km2|1}}. There were 1,513 housing units at an average density of {{convert|756.5|/sqmi|/km2|1}}. The racial makeup of the village was 96.6% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]], 0.8% [[African American (U.S. Census)|African American]], 0.3% [[Native American (U.S. Census)|Native American]], 0.3% [[Asian (U.S. Census)|Asian]], 0.2% from [[Race (U.S. Census)|other races]], and 1.9% from two or more races. [[Hispanic (U.S. Census)|Hispanic]] or [[Latino (U.S. Census)|Latino]] of any race were 0.9% of the population.

There were 1,190 households, of which 27.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 35.2% were [[Marriage|married couples]] living together, 15.5% had a female householder with no husband present, 7.9% had a male householder with no wife present, and 41.4% were non-families. 32.4% of all households were made up of individuals, and 11.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The racial makeup of the village was 97.05% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]], 0.62% [[African American (U.S. Census)|African American]], 0.62% [[Native American (U.S. Census)|Native American]], 0.13% [[Asian (U.S. Census)|Asian]], 0.26% from [[Race (United States Census)|other races]], and 1.31% from two or more races. [[Hispanic (U.S. Census)|Hispanic]] or [[Latino (U.S. Census)|Latino]] of any race were 0.56% of the population.

There were 1,240 households, out of which 33.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 43.5% were [[Marriage|married couples]] living together, 14.6% had a female householder with no husband present, and 36.4% were non-families. 27.3% of all households were made up of individuals, and 9.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.46 and the average family size was 2.97.

In the village, the population was spread out, with 27.5% under the age of 18, 8.6% from 18 to 24, 29.1% from 25 to 44, 23.3% from 45 to 64, and 11.5% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 35 years. For every 100 females there were 95.8 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 90.5 males.

The median income for a household in the village was $28,889, and the median income for a family was $33,800. Males had a median income of $27,583 versus $19,881 for females. About 13.2% of families and 16.1% of the population were below the [[poverty line]], including 19.1% of those under age 18 and 14.1% of those age 65 or over.
