The [[population density]] was 13.4 people per square mile (5.2/km{{sup|2}}). There were 394 housing units at an average density of 7.3/sq&nbsp;mi (2.8/km{{sup|2}}). The racial makeup of the township was 98.22% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]], 0.14% [[Native American (U.S. Census)|Native American]], and 1.64% from two or more races. [[Hispanic (U.S. Census)|Hispanic]] or [[Latino (U.S. Census)|Latino]] of any race were 0.96% of the population.

There were 283 households, out of which 33.2% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 58.7% were [[Marriage|married couples]] living together, 9.9% had a female householder with no husband present, and 24.4% were non-families. 22.6% of all households were made up of individuals, and 9.2% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.54 and the average family size was 2.94.

In the township the population was spread out, with 24.7% under the age of 18, 8.4% from 18 to 24, 26.3% from 25 to 44, 24.4% from 45 to 64, and 16.3% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 39 years. For every 100 females, there were 100.0 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 102.2 males.

The median income for a household in the township was $31,827, and the median income for a family was $35,625. Males had a median income of $26,953 versus $16,750 for females.
