It lies east of [[Tahlequah, Oklahoma|Tahlequah]], the [[county seat]], along [[U.S. Route 62]]. The [[Illinois River (Oklahoma)|Illinois River]], a tributary of the [[Arkansas River]], forms the northern and western edge of the community. Briggs is bordered to the south by [[Park Hill, Oklahoma|Park Hill]] and to the north by [[Sparrowhawk, Oklahoma|Sparrowhawk]]. [[Eldon, Oklahoma|Eldon]] is {{convert|5|mi|0}} to the east on US-62. The racial makeup of the CDP was 45.53% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]], 38.27% [[Native American (U.S. Census)|Native American]], 5.31% from [[Race (United States Census)|other races]], and 10.89% from two or more races. There were 129 households, out of which 34.9% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 56.6% were [[Marriage|married couples]] living together, 13.2% had a female householder with no husband present, and 25.6% were non-families. 20.2% of all households were made up of individuals, and 2.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.78 and the average family size was 3.17. In the CDP, the population was spread out, with 29.1% under the age of 18, 7.8% from 18 to 24, 32.1% from 25 to 44, 22.6% from 45 to 64, and 8.4% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 32 years. For every 100 females, there were 109.4 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 104.8 males. The median income for a household in the CDP was $31,250, and the median income for a family was $30,781. Males had a median income of $21,875 versus $35,500 for females.
