==Geography==
Belvidere is the northernmost town in Lamoille County and is bordered by Franklin County to the north. According to the [[United States Census Bureau]], the town has a total area of {{convert|83.2|sqkm|order=flip}}, of which {{convert|0.1|sqkm|order=flip|2}}, or 0.16%, are water.<ref name="CenPopGazetteer2019"/> The North Branch of the [[Lamoille River]] flows east to west across the center of the town, and most of the town's settlement is in the North Branch valley. [[Vermont Route 109]] runs up the valley and has its eastern terminus at [[Vermont Route 118]] at Belvidere Corners in the eastern part of town. Route 109 leads southwest {{convert|11|mi}} to [[Jeffersonville, Vermont|Jeffersonville]], while Route 118 leads north {{convert|10|mi|0}} to Montgomery and southeast {{convert|8|mi|0}} to [[Eden, Vermont|Eden]].

As of the [[census]]<ref name="GR2" /> of 2000, there were 294 people, 114 households, and 71 families residing in the town. The [[population density]] was 9.1 people per square mile (3.5/km<sup>2</sup>). There were 194 housing units at an average density of 6.0 per square mile (2.3/km<sup>2</sup>). The racial makeup of the town was 99.66% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]], and 0.34% from two or more races. [[Hispanic (U.S. Census)|Hispanic]] or [[Latino (U.S. Census)|Latino]] of any race were 0.34% of the population.

There were 114 households, out of which 36.8% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 55.3% were [[Marriage|married couples]] living together, 2.6% had a female householder with no husband present, and 37.7% were non-families. 24.6% of all households were made up of individuals, and 8.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.58 and the average family size was 3.14.

In the town, the population was spread out, with 27.9% under the age of 18, 7.8% from 18 to 24, 34.4% from 25 to 44, 18.4% from 45 to 64, and 11.6% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 35 years. For every 100 females, there were 101.4 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 98.1 males.

The median income for a household in the town was $44,583, and the median income for a family was $50,500. Males had a median income of $36,250 versus $25,500 for females.
