'''Augusta''' is a village in [[Kalamazoo County, Michigan|Kalamazoo County]] in the [[U.S. state]] of [[Michigan]]. The population was 885 at the [[2010 United States Census|2010 census]]. The village is mostly within [[Ross Township, Michigan|Ross Township]], though a small portion extends south into [[Charleston Township, Michigan|Charleston Township]].

Augusta is situated on the [[M-96 (Michigan highway)|M-96]] highway, about {{convert|5|mi|km|spell=in}} northeast of [[Galesburg, Michigan|Galesburg]], and about {{convert|7|mi|km|spell=in}} west of downtown [[Battle Creek, Michigan|Battle Creek]]. [[Kalamazoo, Michigan|Kalamazoo]] is an additional {{convert|10|mi|km|spell=in}} west of Galesburg. [[Fort Custer Recreation Area]] is immediately south of the village on the east side of the [[Kalamazoo River]].

The racial makeup of the village was 94.0% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]], 1.5% [[African American (U.S. Census)|African American]], 1.4% [[Native American (U.S. Census)|Native American]], 0.1% [[Asian (U.S. Census)|Asian]], 1.0% from [[Race (U.S. Census)|other races]], and 2.0% from two or more races. [[Hispanic (U.S. Census)|Hispanic]] or [[Latino (U.S. Census)|Latino]] of any race were 2.4% of the population.

==Schools==
In 1951, members of the community, along with those from neighboring [[Galesburg, Michigan|Galesburg]], formed a joint public school district.
