The [[2010 United States census]] counted 8,302 people, 3,084 households, and 2,224 families in the CDP. The [[population density]] was {{convert|2849.1|/mi2|/km2|disp=preunit|people&nbsp;|people|}}. There were 3,215 housing units at an average density of {{convert|1103.3|/mi2|/km2|disp=preunit|units&nbsp;|units|}}. The racial makeup was 80.28% (6,665) [[White (U.S. census)|White]], 7.03% (584) [[Black (U.S. census)|Black or African American]], 0.11% (9) [[Native American (U.S. census)|Native American]], 9.06% (752) [[Asian (U.S. census)|Asian]], 0.00% (0) [[Pacific Islander (U.S. census)|Pacific Islander]], 1.26% (105) from [[Race and ethnicity in the United States census#Race|other races]], and 2.25% (187) from two or more races. The average household size was 2.63 and the average family size was 3.10.<ref name=Census2000/>

In the CDP the population was spread out, with 23.6% under the age of 18, 5.4% from 18 to 24, 28.3% from 25 to 44, 23.9% from 45 to 64, and 18.9% who were 65 years of age or older.
