==Geography==
Anderson is in west-central McDonald County on [[Indian Creek (Elk River tributary)|Indian Creek]] at the intersection of [[Missouri Route 59|Missouri Routes 59]] and [[Missouri Route 76|76]] and [[U.S. Route 71 in Missouri|U.S. Route 71]].<ref>''Missouri Atlas & Gazetteer,'' DeLorme, 1998, First edition, p. 60, {{ISBN|0-89933-224-2}}</ref> [[Interstate 49]] passes just to the east of the city, with access from Exit 10 (MO 76). [[Neosho, Missouri|Neosho]] is {{convert|16|mi}} to the north, and [[Bentonville, Arkansas]], is {{convert|26|mi}} to the southeast. [[Pineville, Missouri|Pineville]], the McDonald [[county seat]], is {{convert|6|mi|0}} to the south.
