As of the [[census]]<ref name="GR2" /> of 2000, there were 305 people, 102 households, and 72 families residing in the village. The population density was {{convert|1,183.6|PD/sqmi|PD/km2|sp=us|adj=off}}. There were 115 housing units at an average density of {{convert|446.3|/sqmi|/km2|sp=us|adj=off}}. The racial makeup of the village was 94.43% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]], 1.31% [[African American (U.S. Census)|African American]], 0.98% [[Native American (U.S. Census)|Native American]], 1.64% from [[Race (United States Census)|other races]], and 1.64% from two or more races. [[Hispanic (U.S. Census)|Hispanic]] or [[Latino (U.S. Census)|Latino]] of any race were 3.61% of the population.

There were 102 households, out of which 31.4% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 48.0% were [[Marriage|married couples]] living together, 15.7% had a female householder with no husband present, and 29.4% were non-families. 23.5% of all households were made up of individuals, and 10.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.65 and the average family size was 3.03.

In the village the population was spread out, with 25.2% under the age of 18, 9.2% from 18 to 24, 28.5% from 25 to 44, 25.2% from 45 to 64, and 11.8% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 36 years. For every 100 females, there were 119.4 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 121.4 males.

The median income for a household in the village was $36,250, and the median income for a family was $43,375. Males had a median income of $25,000 versus $19,205 for females. About 8.4% of families and 11.5% of the population were below the [[poverty line]], including 18.1% of those under the age of eighteen and 14.7% of those sixty five or over.
