As of March 2011, there were a total of 1,143 registered voters in Sussex, of which 193 (16.9% vs. 16.5% countywide) were registered as [[Democratic Party (United States)|Democrats]], 428 (37.4% vs. 39.3%) were registered as [[Republican Party (United States)|Republicans]] and 521 (45.6% vs. 44.1%) were registered as [[Unaffiliated (New Jersey)|Unaffiliated]].
