===Canoe Lake===
Canoe Lake<ref>{{cite web |title=Canoe Lake: Exploring Nature's Serene Waterways |date=30 June 2023 |url=https://exploreuknow.com/explore-canoe-lake/}}</ref> is the last remnant of an area of marsh and open water known as the Great Morass, drained in 1886, on which much of Southsea now sits. The lake is topped up from the sea by a sluice gate at high tide. [[Mute swan]]s and [[mallard]] can be seen regularly, with less frequent visits from [[tufted duck]], [[Mediterranean gull]], [[great cormorant|cormorant]], [[little grebe]] and occasionally a lone feral [[black swan]]. Pedalos can be rented on the lake in the summer.
