The city of San Jacinto contracts for fire and paramedic services with the Riverside County Fire Department through a cooperative agreement with [[California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection|CAL FIRE]]. A 6–12 magnet school, San Jacinto Leadership Academy, operates on the past Monte Vista Middle School campus, serving nearly 600 children.
