The CMC is composed of a [[Chairman of the Central Military Commission (China)|chairman]], [[Vice Chairman of the Central Military Commission|vice chairpersons]] and regular members. Previously, the PLA was governed by four general departments; the General Political, the General Logistics, the General Armament, and the General Staff Departments. Included among the 15 departments are three commissions. The CMC Discipline Inspection Commission is charged with rooting out corruption.
