====Harbour====

A [[lighthouse]] built at the harbour entrance in 1869 is a local landmark. The harbour has now been dwarfed by the enlarged Leith Harbour. The once thriving Victorian fishmarket is now converted into a smaller still functioning fishmarket, and the [[Loch Fyne (restaurant)|Loch Fyne]] restaurant. The [[Newhaven Heritage Museum]] which used to occupy a small section of the old fishmarket closed in 2007. It has since been converted into a retail fishmonger, linked to the adjacent fishmarket. Some of its exhibits have been kept by the Victoria Primary School. In 2021, the historical school building was confirmed as a future home for a charity ''Heart of Newhaven Community''<ref>{{Cite web|last=Elliott|first=Shona|date=30 July 2021|title=New use found for Edinburgh's oldest working primary school|url=https://www.edinburghnews.scotsman.com/news/politics/council/new-use-found-for-edinburghs-oldest-working-primary-school-3329386|access-date=2021-09-11|website=edinburghnews.scotsman.com|language=en}}</ref> following a community grant from the [[Scottish Land Fund]] to buy it.
