==Mascots==

The Newark Bears' official [[mascot]]s were [[Anthropomorphism|anthropomorphic]] bears named Ruppert and Effa.  They wore the team's home jersey and cap.  Ruppert was named after [[Jacob Ruppert]], who owned the former Newark Bears team in the 1930s.
