There are museums dedicated to [[Allies of World War II|Allied]] prisoners of war at the former [[German prisoner-of-war camps in World War II|German POW camps]] in [[Dobiegniew]] and Żagań.<ref name=lpd43/> In Żagań, there is a memorial to the victims of the [[Stalag Luft III murders]] of Allied POWs, perpetrated by Nazi Germany in World War II. There are multiple other memorials to victims of Nazi Germany in the region.
