===Heathrow Airport links===
Waterloo station was to be the central London terminus for the proposed [[Heathrow Airtrack]] rail service. This project, promoted by [[Heathrow Airport Holdings|British Airport Authority Limited]] (BAA), envisaged the construction of a spur, from {{stnlnk|Staines}} on the [[Waterloo to Reading line]], to [[Heathrow Airport]], creating direct rail links from the airport to Waterloo, {{stnlnk|Woking}} and [[Guildford (Surrey) railway station|Guildford]].
