===Environmental activism=== Browne was active in the [[anti-nuclear movement in the United States]], and co-founded MUSE ([[Musicians United for Safe Energy]]) with [[Bonnie Raitt]] and [[John Hall (New York politician)|John Hall]] in 1979.
