The [[articles of Faith (Latter Day Saints)|Articles of Faith]] of [[the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints]] states that "faith in the Lord Jesus Christ" is the first principle of the gospel.

* Lecture 6 proclaims that the willingness to sacrifice all earthly things is a prerequisite to gaining faith in salvation;
* Lecture 7 treats the fruits of faith—perspective, power, and eventually perfection.<ref>
