Hubbard excitons are linked to electrons not by a [[Coulomb's law|Coulomb's interaction]], but by a [[magnetic force]]. Their name derives by the English physicist [[John Hubbard (physicist)|John Hubbard]].

Hubbard excitons were observed for the first time in 2023 through the [[Terahertz time-domain spectroscopy]].
