Antifoaming agents ([[silicone]]s), antioxidants ([[hindered phenol]]s), and "metal deactivating agents" (salicylaldimines) are other additives. Their use is dictated by the particular composition of and storage plans for diesel fuels. Each is added at the 5-50 ppm level.<ref name="Ullmann2"/>
