The [[Hammersmith]] End is the northernmost stand in the ground, the closest to Hammersmith. If Fulham win the toss, they usually choose to play towards the Hammersmith End in the second half. The hardcore fans tend to sit (or rather stand) in the back half of the Hammersmith End, plus the entire Block H5 (known as 'H Block' to the faithful). The stand had terracing until the reopening of the ground in 2004, when it was replaced with seating in order to comply with league rules following the [[Taylor Report]].<ref name="terrace" />
