Each Town councilperson represents one of five municipal districts. Members of the School Committee are also elected using these districts. In the [[Rhode Island Senate]], Coventry is a part of the 21st and 33rd Districts. In the [[Rhode Island House of Representatives]] it is part of the a part of the 25th, 26th, 27th, 28th, 29th and 40th Districts. At the federal level, Coventry is included in [[Rhode Island's 2nd congressional district]] and is currently represented by Democrat [[Seth Magaziner|Seth M. Magaziner]].
