====Religion==== Prior to the Revolution, the [[Church of England]] was the most common religious affiliation in the area.<ref name="auto6"/> Lea's Chapel was formed as an [[Anglicanism |Anglican]] chapel in 1750. In 1779, the State of North Carolina granted the land on which the chapel was standing to William Lea.
