Queen Alexandra's arms upon the [[Accession Day|accession]] of her husband in 1901 were the [[royal coat of arms of the United Kingdom]] impaled with the arms of her father, the King of Denmark.<ref name="pinches">{{Cite book |last1=Pinches |first1=J.
