Stephenson]] and [[Makan Delrahim]], assistant Attorney General of the [[United States Department of Justice Antitrust Division|Department of Justice's Antitrust Division]], indicated that AT&T had been recommended to divest DirecTV or Turner Broadcasting, seek alternative antitrust remedies, or abandon the acquisition.
