The organometallic chemistry of vanadium is well{{en dash}}developed. [[Vanadocene dichloride]] is a versatile starting reagent and has applications in organic chemistry.<ref name="wilkinson">{{cite journal |last1=Wilkinson |first1=G. |last2=Birmingham |first2=J.
