Tucker is in the state's [[Piedmont (United States)|Piedmont]] geologic region, composed of [[igneous]] and [[metamorphic rock|metamorphic]] rocks resulting from 300 to 600 million year old sediments that were subjected to high temperatures and pressures and re-exposed roughly 250 to 300 million years ago. Over a dozen [[stream|creeks]] originate in Tucker including Burnt Fork Creek, [[Peachtree Creek|South Fork Peachtree Creek]], Camp Creek, and Henderson Mill Creek. Prior to the widespread accessibility of electricity and indoor plumbing, several were used as [[mill pond]]s or dammed for [[baptism]].
