In 2016, [[IMG Models]] launched its Brawn division which aimed to elevate the careers of [[Plus-size model|plus-size male models]].<ref name = plus>{{cite web | url=https://www.thecut.com/2019/10/the-new-frontier-of-plus-size-male-modeling.html | title=At the Russian Baths with the Big Boys of Brawn | date=October 2019 }}</ref> The first model hired under the new division is Zach Miko.<ref name = plus></ref> Three years in, IMG has 7 models under the Brawn division.<ref name = plus></ref>

In October 2022, Steven Green, the [[Kansas City metropolitan area|Kansas City]] born fashion photographer, starred in [[Rihanna]]’s [[Savage X Fenty]]’s men underwear campaign as a plus-size model.<ref name = vogue>{{cite web | url=https://www.vogue.co.uk/fashion/article/male-model-inclusivity | title=6 Male Models on Why the Industry Must Become More Inclusive | date=24 January 2021 }}</ref> Green reflected that, "he was not confident being his size and shirtless on the internet, but the positive feedback he got was inspiring to him."<ref name = vogue></ref>
