==Sport== The town is the home of [[Stranraer F.C.]], the local semi-professional football team who play at [[Stair Park]]. They currently play in [[Scottish League Two]]. Throughout the years, Stranraer has also been a centre of excellence for Scottish [[curling]]. The town boasts the first hotel in the world with an indoor curling ice rink ([[North West Castle]]), and was the birthplace of [[Hammy McMillan]], a World Champion curler, and current resident.
