===Metropolitan area===

The Metropolitan Statistical Area does not consist of the usual principal-city-with-[[suburbs]] morphology; instead Springdale is bordered to the north by [[Rogers, Arkansas|Rogers]], the south by [[Fayetteville, Arkansas|Fayetteville]], and the northwest by [[Bentonville, Arkansas|Bentonville]], with smaller cities like [[Lowell, Arkansas|Lowell]] and [[Johnson, Arkansas|Johnson]] in between.
