== Recreation and events == * Rio Linda is home to the Roy Hayer Memorial Racetrack (formerly known as the Crackerjack Track). This is noted as the first track that four-time [[NASCAR]] champion [[Jeff Gordon]] ever competed on. * Rio Linda hosts the northern terminus of the Sacramento Northern Bike Trail. It is a 10-mile-long paved pathway that connects the Rio Linda area with Downtown [[Sacramento, California|Sacramento]].
