In 2016, QE came first in the A-level league tables for selective state (grammar) schools for the 5th year in a row, also coming sixth in the [[GCSE]] league tables for grammar schools.{{citation needed|date=May 2024}} 2016 would make the eighth year in the past decade that the school achieved the top spot in the A-Level league tables, solidifying its position at the forefront of the modern British educational scene.{{citation needed|date=May 2024}}
