On September 13, 2007, [[Hurricane Humberto (2007)|Hurricane Humberto]] made landfall west of Port Arthur as a category 1 hurricane. The storm moved northeast across the [[Golden Triangle (Texas)|Golden Triangle]], causing widespread wind damage; however, most of the damage was relatively minor.
