The residents of Livingston are descended from people of many nations, including:

* [[Central America]]ns from [[Guatemala]], [[El Salvador]], [[Honduras]], and other countries
* People from [[Oklahoma]] and other parts of the [[United States|United States of America]]. About 100 members of the [[Cherokee Nation]] live in the town.
* Portuguese from the [[Azores]], [[Angola]], and [[Brazil]]. About 10 percent of the locals speak [[Portuguese language|Portuguese]].
* [[Hindu]]s, [[Sikh]]s and [[Muslim]]s from [[India]] and [[Pakistan]]. Livingston has one of the largest communities of Sikhs in the United States.
