In the penultimate episode of the first season of [[HBO]]'s ''[[Treme (TV series)|Treme]]'', set in New Orleans, the teacher Creighton (played by [[John Goodman]]) assigns Chopin's ''The Awakening'' to his freshman class at [[Tulane University]] in New Orleans, and warns them:
