In 1995, when the [[Toronto]] residence of the [[Holocaust denial|Holocaust denier]] [[Ernst Zündel]] was the target of an arson attack, a group calling itself the "Jewish Armed Resistance Movement" claimed responsibility; according to the ''[[Toronto Sun]]'', the group had ties to the JDL and to [[Kahane Chai]].<ref name=shermer>Shermer, Michael.
