Zinnemann's final film was ''[[Five Days One Summer]]'' (1982), filmed in [[Switzerland]] and based on the short story ''Maiden, Maiden'' by [[Kay Boyle]]. It starred [[Sean Connery]] and [[Betsy Brantley]] as a "couple" vacationing in the [[Alps]] in the 1930s, and a young [[Lambert Wilson]] as a mountain-climbing guide who grows heavily suspicious of their relationship.
