Each year Forest Grove hosts a variety of events and festivals, including a sidewalk chalk art festival in September, which started in 1990 Sidewalk Chalk Art Festival

Valley Arts Association is in downtown Forest Grove. Established in 1966, it is one of the oldest nonprofit, volunteer-run art associations in the Pacific Northwest.
