Lawrence was married three times and had 2 children. Her first marriage was to actor, screenwriter and director [[Harry Solter]] in 1908. The store sold theatrical makeup and also sold a line of cosmetics that Lawrence developed. In 1933, Lawrence wed for the third and final time, to Henry Bolton, who turned out to be an abusive alcoholic and beat her severely.<ref name=forster/> The union lasted five months.<ref name=petersburg/>
