A [[wildland fire engine]] is a specialized fire engine that can negotiate difficult terrain for [[wildfire suppression]]. A wildland fire engine is smaller than standard fire engines and has a higher [[ground clearance]]. They may also respond to emergencies in rough terrain where other vehicles cannot respond.
