The ancestry of Cubans comes from many sources:

During the 18th, 19th and early part of the 20th century, large waves of Spanish immigrants from [[Canary Islands]], [[Catalonia]], [[Andalusia]], [[Galicia (Spain)|Galicia]], and [[Asturias]] emigrated to Cuba.
