After his final weather report on December 16, 2022, Lynch said in an April 2023 interview that the series, along with ''What is David Lynch Working on Today?'' and ''Today's Number Is...'', would not return, adding: "Now I can sleep longer in the morning. I had to get up very early to consult the real weather bulletin.
