For every 100 females, there were 97.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 93.8 males. The median household income was $35,777 and the median family income was $37,911. Males had a median income of $32,152 versus $25,118 for females. The per capita income for the city was $13,460. About 18.2% of families and 19.6% of the population were below the [[poverty line]], including 25.2% of those under age 18 and 10.9% of those age 65 or over.
