[[Nissan]] previously had its [[Nissan USA|North American headquarters]] in Carson. The {{convert|42|acre|ha|adj=on}} property consisted of 13 buildings, with a total of {{convert|700000|sqft|sqm}} of office and light industrial space. One of the buildings, a nine-story tower, had the Nissan logo on it. Vincent Roger of the ''[[Los Angeles Times]]'' wrote that it "was a familiar sight to drivers passing the intersection of the Harbor and San Diego freeways."<ref name=Vincentflipped>Vincent, Roger.
