On 7 August 2013, a feature film, ''[[Alan Partridge: Alpha Papa]]'', was released in the UK. Filming began with an incomplete script, and Coogan and the Gibbons brothers rewrote much of it on the set. The rushed production was difficult; Coogan and Iannucci disagreed on the script, morale was low, and there were problems with casting and funding.
